To put together truly useful health and safety training, understanding what doesn’t work is as important as what does. We therefore minimise the use of slides, focusing instead on a proven combination of video, handouts and group discussions, supplemented by hands-on experience where appropriate.

As part of our drive to make our training fit around our clients, we are always flexible about venue. In order to minimise disruption, most companies prefer for us to come to their workplace to conduct our courses. However, if you would prefer your training to take place off-site, we are able to source suitable venues throughout the UK.

Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) courses
Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
A dedicated course for site supervisors, this is a nationally recognised safety qualification which will teach attendees their legal responsibilities relating to health, safety and environmental issues.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
A course aimed at project managers, site managers and supervisors within the construction industry, as well as clients and company owners.
Attendees will learn about their legal obligations relating to safety, welfare and the environment on construction projects.
Attendees of a CITB course will receive a certificate which is valid for 5 years.
National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Certificates
NEBOSH offer globally recognised courses and certificates which focus on health, safety and environmental practice and management.
NEBOSH certification is aimed primarily at managers, supervisors and indeed anyone whose role gives them health and safety management responsibilities.
Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) courses
IOSH is the world’s largest membership organisation for health and safety professionals. As part of its drive to improve workplace safety, IOSH offers professional qualifications, and at JM HSE we provide the following IOSH courses:
Working Safely
This course is aimed at all employees in all industries. Attendees will learn the essential tools and techniques to enable you to work safely, and by teaching employees to have greater awareness of workplace safety, fewer hours will be lost to sickness and accidents.
Managing Safely
Managers, team leaders and supervisors are required to manage health and safety procedures within their team. This course provides attendees with the tools to ensure that your team complies with your company’s health and safety policies.
Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) courses
IEMA is the professional body for those working in environment and sustainability and has over 15,000 members. IEMA courses are designed to help companies improve their sustainability and environmental management. We are able to provide a number of IEMA-accredited courses.
