We provide assistance in all aspects of construction Health and Safety including compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) over the course of a construction project. We work closely with all stakeholders involved in a project including: 
Clients — anyone for whom a construction project is carried out. If you intend to have building work done you have legal duties for which you will probably need some help. 
Designers — someone that prepares or modifies designs relating to a construction project. 
Principal Designers — a designer who is either an organisation or, for smaller projects, an individual. The Principal Designer is appointed by the client right at the start of planning a project to manage the pre-construction phase (including health and safety) of the project which involves more than one contractor. 
Contractors — an individual or organisation that carries out the actual construction work. 
Principal Contractors — a contractor who assumes control over the construction phase of a project which involves more than one contractor. The Principal Contractor is expected to cooperate with both the client and the Principal Designer to ensure that health and safety is adequately managed. A client should appoint a Principal Contractor as early as possible during a construction project. 
 
The level of detail and effort required to comply with your legal duties will depend on your role as well as the size, complexity and health and safety risks associated with the specific project.  
 
Meeting your obligations will often include compiling key documents to ensure that the process is clearly managed and ensuring that important information is circulated to relevant parties at the right time.

CDM Health and Safety Advisor 

You can appoint us as your CDM advisor for your construction project. We use our extensive experience to monitor the activities throughout the project and ensure that compliance with the regulations is achieved. 
 
As your CDM advisor, we can help ensure that designers and contractors are competent to carry out the work they are appointed to do. 
 
As your CDM advisor, we will help you in the production of the Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for your project. RAMS play a vital role in identifying potential on-site hazards, and minimising the dangers associated with them. The Risk Assessment should ensure that health and safety is adequately considered throughout your project, while Method Statements detail what precautions you will take to mitigate any hazards. 
 
As your CDM advisor, we will provide bespoke advice and assistance allowing you to compile RAMS which are practical, clear and concise, making the process of explaining them to others within the chain as pain-free as possible. 

Assist a Principal Contractor and Contractor(s) 

Our extensive experience across all sectors of construction will enable us to assist a Principal Contractor in complying with their obligations. This includes: 
 
Preparing the Construction Phase Plan 
Assessing competence of contractors 
Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) 
Developing a Site Induction 
Monitoring compliance during the project 
Working with the Principal Designer and other contractors to compile information for the Health and Safety File.
